Down to the Wire, Last Chance for 2012 Fundraiser!

We are two and a half hours away from the end of our fundraiser. In just the last two hours, we’ve gotten quite a few generous donations, as in several $200, $150, and $100 contributions,) as well as a lot of $10 and $25 donations. It’s particularly gratifying to get support from readers we know from comments as well as fellow writers/bloggers (for instance, Susie Madrak gave in the last two hours).

I’m thrilled at the response. We’re almost reached both our donor and financial targets. We are at 961 donors towards our goal of 1000 and at $7940 towards our last goal of $8500 for intern support (read here why they aren’t free!). Let’s see if we can meet these goals before the close of this effort, midnight PST. Join us and participate via our Tip Jar, WePay, which is a credit card portal, further down in the right column, or you can send a check made out to Aurora Advisors Incorporated to Aurora Advisors Incorporated, 903 Park Avenue, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10075 (be sure to send an e-mail, “check is in the mail” with the total in the body of the message so we can count your donation in our tally).

So, last chance. Be one of the 39 or so we need to push this effort over the top.

If you can give a little, give a little. If you can give more, give more. If you can give a lot, give a lot. You are investing in being part of the solution.

Delighted to see you’re using midnight PACIFIC Standard Time.

So my 7:30 pm Hawaii contribution should make it.

    Yea!!

At last years fundraiser, i started sending a check once a month and just keep doing it …

Shucks what if 1000, or even 500, folks sent in $10.00/mo ….

The $7940 so far with the goal of $8500 is for the budget for getting an intern, not for the overall fundraising effort. The post linked to here says this the intern budget goal is the fifth one. The first one was “$6700 for higher touch hosting and ongoing site configuration tweaking”.

    Yves,

I’d like to state how appreciative and thankful I’ve been to have discovered your blog back in 2008. I’ve become a daily reader preferring your blog to all other media sources. I can now stumble through a simplified mortgage chain of title explanation when prompted. Your willingness to provide such a wonderful public service continues to inspire. My check for $100 is in the mail.

My thanks also to your wonderful contributors, especially Matt, Lambert, Michael O. and Bill Black.

OT, but you just have to see this. It is an Obot apologist excusing the Leahy bill that has so many up-in-arms—and guess who “doesn’t get it”? Guess who the link goes to as to whom the Poster Boy is for Progessive Anti-Obama Haterz? None other than, “the usual suspects”—- Matt Stoller. Matt, take a bow!
