The weather just turned nippy! Get some relief from the winter chill with a hefty dose of energizing conversation and, if you are so inclined, some grog, by coming out to join our NYC meetup a week from today.
And if you are in sunny Florida, we have a meetup set for February 7. I hope readers can provide recommendations regarding a hotel and a venue. The meetup spot should not be too loud and have a good choice of drinks (and maybe noshes).

As you can see, it’s near stations for the B, D, F, and M, as well as the 6, so it’s reasonably accessible.

I expect to attend the Ft. Lauderdale meeting on Feb. 7.
Try The Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Blvd. It is a vintage
hotel, originally built in the 1930s. Nostalgic old Florida,
and classy but comfortable. Prices are reasonable for the area, though
February is the high season, so may be a bit high.
The location is outstanding.
There are also two bars on the ground floor that may
be suitable for a meet-up. When I was there, they were
sedate and quiet enough for a meeting. One of the
bars has a Happy Hour.
