Countdown!

Readers have responded generously to our final appeal, to meet our last fundraiser goal of $45,000 for more original and to surpass our new donor target of 1800 contributors.

Since our last update, only four hours ago, you’ve blasted through our financial target target. We are now at $46,490, $1,490 over out goal! This is very exciting for all of us, since it confirms how much the Naked Capitalism community values this work and wants this site to get even better. Remember ever dollar now goes for original reporting!

But we are still short on our donor goals. We just broke 1600 donors, at 1604, but are still short of our new target of 1800 donors. Will you be one of the ones to put us over the top by going to our Tip Jar?

We have a nine hours left. Our 2021 fundraiser closes at midnight Pacific time. Can you help us keep punching above our weight? Whatever you can give, $5, $50, or $5,000 all helps get us to these final goals and give you more original reporting!

I found NC through the comments at “Calculated Risk” when Tanta was still among us and it has been my first stop in the morning for well over a decade.

Times have been rough lately and like ChiGal there are very few people I can discuss current events with who have the intellectual and moral courage to face our current reality, even when they have critical thinking skills they are too frightened and too heavily propagandized to use them.
NC is a refuge from the madness that I value greatly.

I came to NC some years ago when I saw Yves being interviewed on the Bill Moyers showI immediately was intrigued by her responses to the questions asked by Rose and found the NC web site and signed up. I too go to NC first thing in the morning. I enjoy scrolling down all of the articles and read the ones I am interested in and send some to my friends and relative.

I can’t say enough good things about the morning NC. Just as good is the Water Cooler by Lambert with much about the politics of the day and the way our Democratic party has let us down and consistently fails to learn anything but does remember who to undercut. I really enjoy Lambert’s take on the political scene. I am happy to be able to contribute my share to support this amazing site.

Only a few hours remain in the Naked Capitalism fundraiser. Support critical thinking, merciless evisceration of lame punditry, deep diving into turbid financial waters, and cute animal pictures.

Every dollar you give now goes to support more original reporting. And even though we’re delighted to have raised over $45,000, consider how modest that is compared to newsroom budgets, let alone that of the think tanks whose output we regularly take down. Make a high-leverage investment in unpacking the propaganda and exposing the distortions that help support looting and policies that serve the rich at expense of the rest of us.
